Developed as a wing rigger version of the elite Italia/S shell, this model has been chosen by top scullers in the USA and abroad.

A carbon fiber or aluminum wing (last picture) is mounted directly onto highly reinforced gunwhales. The main hull and fittings are otherwise identical to the Italia/S.

The wing can be moved fore and aft to change the athlete's work station in the boat, and to suit different rowing styles. It is also higher out of the water, making it an advantage in rough conditions.

Because of the need for proper reinforcement of the wing attachment points and gunwhales, the Wingboats singles are often 2-3 lbs over FISA minimum weight. The increased stiffness and durability more than offsets this.

The seat tracks have been moved to the sides of the gunwhales, offering a wider ball-bearing seat, and relief for "track bitten" calves.

The standard "Movie" seat deck saves weight and makes for a sleek, clean interior.
